2011/12 is the 130th season of Evesham
Rugby club.
Located on the banks of the river Avon (and sometimes in it!), Evesham RFC is a
flourishing family club
with thriving mini, youth and girls/ladies sections.

All Roads Lead to Evesham
£12,111 raised so far!!
In
the hope of raising £20,000 for The Neurology Department of the
Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital, 12 friends will be attempting
to cycle from Rome to Evesham in just over two weeks.
This daunting challenge is being undertaken as a mark of gratitude
to Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital, for their huge efforts in
trying to save the life of Matt Brace who tragically passed
away from a head injury in May 2011.
The cycle will begin in Rome on 30 March and by travelling 100
miles a day, stopping only for rest and subsistence, the team
hopes to return to Evesham on 15 April 2012 for a HUGE Welcome
Home Party!!!
We
are asking for your support to help us achieve this monumental
task.
More
information, a training blog, and details of our
events can be

A
gathering of former players, sponsors and supporters of the
Club
Saturday

At
Evesham RFC Clubhouse

from 1.30pm
Followed by 1st XV taking on Redditch RFC –
3.00pm kick off
Without
putting too fine a point on it....we need your help! The
2011-12 season is a year where we have lost several players to
retirement, University or work commitments. The coach, Gary
Diston, is building the team back up to its former
strength, but we have struggled for wins this year.
Currently, we are second from bottom, following a 5 point penalty
(where we could not field a side due to a lack front row
forwards through injury). Redditch are bottom of the league,
so this is a real "double pointer". What we'd
really like is to pack the touchlines with Legends like you to
give them the biggest crowd and most support they've had all year,
and cheer them home to a most vital victory. Come on....get
down here, bring a mate and help get us this win!!!!!
